The independent nine-minute short shows a high-speed drive through the busy streets of Paris as the film’s protagonist races to meet his date. It was all done for real too, as the film was shot without permission, gaining it notoriety. No, those near misses with oncoming traffic and pedestrians were not staged. Authorities weren’t impressed when they saw the film and arrested Lelouch after the film was screened.

The film was shot in one take using a camera mounted to the front bumper to increase the sense of speed. While you can hear the spine-tingling sound of a Ferrari 275GTB’s V12, the car used in the film was actually a Mercedes-Benz 450SEL with dubbed engine sounds.
