The 33-year-old won all four of his World Drivers’ Championships with Red Bull and is eager to remain in the sport.

“It is important to find an environment that suits me,” Vettel said. “The financial is not in the foreground at all. I am still ambitious, motorsport is my life.”

However, Red Bull team principal Horner, who also appeared on Servus TV‘s Sport and Talk – Spielberg Special show, admitted it would be tough to find a way of bringing Vettel back on board.

“If he left Formula One, it would be a loss,” Horner said. “But it’s difficult to accommodate him. We did not expect him to be on the market and so rudely put out of the door by Ferrari.”
