One person has been taken to hospital after a Ferrari thought to be worth around £250,000 flipped over in Glossop.

Emergency services were called to the smash on the Woodhead Pass at around 11.45am on Sunday.

Images shared over the weekend show the luxury supercar badly damaged and smashed.

According to the ambulance service, two people were treated at the roadside.

One person was then taken to Tameside Hospital for further treatment.

A spokeswoman for the North West Ambulance Service said their injuries are not though to be serious.




There are no reports of any arrests.

The NWAS spokeswoman said: “We took a call to a reported road traffic collision at 11.46am on Sunday to Torside, Glossop.

“We sent an ambulance and we treated two patients and took at least one of them to Tameside General Hospital.”

Police in Glossop said it was a one of a number of crashes on the A628 route following a bout of heavy rain.

The yellow coloured vehicle is believed to be a 488 Pista model, which normally would cost around £250,000.

A tweet from the Derbyshire Police’s High Peak Response team said: “An expensive trip up the #WoodheadPass today for this driver. One of a number of reported collisions today across the #HighPeak.”
